Hilton is introducing some new ways to give the guest complete control over their stay, using mobile phones. It’s all part of their new digital strategy. They are even talking about being able to unlock your room right from your mobile phone, allowing you to skip the stop at the front desk altogether, as well as other options for upgrades and individual customized experience to enhance your stay.
Mobile accessibility makes the stay easier for the guest and provides many opportunities to generate revenue for the properties. It will be interesting to see who else will follow, with what and when.
